This pair of glasses gave me the most trouble, designing where rivets should go was definitely a learning experience. Riveting along with making hinges gave me a struggle wit this piece and I’ve gained a bit more of an understanding of how they work. Moving to the looks of the glasses I created a texture on the arms by etching the word perfect over and over. The center nose piece says “no.” as well, these glasses are based of the idea of someone always telling you that you are perfect, therefore causing more pressure to be so. I do not want to be perfect and do not strive to be, so being stubbornly told that I am makes me feel like the person is not actually seeing who I am. Hence the colored frames and the choice of glasses in general, eyes are windows to the soul and they are being shaded by the false expectations.
