This final project was inspired by the artist Jizhi Li, her works of art restrict the body in some way and use the triangular shapes to do so. I incorporated her triangular pattern into the shapes of the shoulder cuffs and the neck piece. I riveted together long curved pieces to make the triangles. The metal curls around the structure of the shoulders and neck connected by chain links. The chain brings in that look of being somewhat restrictive along with the sharp edges of each cut out. Making a piece that spanned this much space on the body was a challenge but was made possible by using a dress form to guess and check measurements.
