Learning to solder was definitely the biggest part of this project, combining two contrasting metals added a new element of design I could use when sketching up ideas. This ring was themed after space and the stars. Having the smooth movement of the metal around the ring and coming off the pendant to grab the stars was another way I connected the two pieces. I chose to use contrasting shapes and line work as the stars are sharp and rigid while the body of the ring and pendant are flowy and organic.
